Matt Brown
is a drummer.

Always has been. Always will be. From his first gig with his dad’s touring band at age four to his present busy schedule, Matt Brown drums.

Born into a musical family and picking up the drums at the age of 3, Matt has made drumming not only his life, but a passion you can see and hear in his playing. His music education encompassed classical and rudimental percussion as well as reading, writing and arrangement. Matt spent two summers performing with Magic of Orlando Drum & Bugle Corps and continued his music education at the University of Central Florida until he chose to start his professional drumming career in 1997 at Walt Disney World.

Currently based out of Orlando, FL, Matt can be seen and heard playing with Universal Records artist 10 Years.

Matt is also in demand as a studio drummer and has recorded for Shinedown (Atlantic Records), 3AE (RCA Records), former “Bad Company” Singer Brian Howe (Frontier Records), as well as numerous corporate music albums for Richmond Publishing, McGraw-Hill, Harcourt and Rainbow Publishing. When he’s not on the road, Matt can be seen playing at Walt Disney World and Sea World Orlando.

Matt is influenced by all music and his drumming influences include John Bonham, Stewart Copeland, Josh Freese, Dave Grohl and Vinnie Colaiuta. His playing is comparable to John Bonham, Taylor Hawkins, Josh Freese, and Tommy Lee (sans tattoos).
